LONG SIGHS Expand

Here I propose this work strikes a chord with an audience familiar with rural surroundings. I am responding to my sense of place. The elusive nature of my subject is transformed by memory, materials and scrutinising the sensations experienced whilst walking and re-encountering my moments of subliminal thoughts. I  use an instinctive, empirical process which guides my fingers in a tactile rhythm across the paper. By extending these movements and memories into a visual format I am able to revisit and conceptualise these experiences and  share them with my audience. Ink + graphite + powder pigments + charcoal on paper 3m x 55 cms
